Bullets Do Fly

Enjoyed the high speed bullet train experience from Beijing to Hangzhou

Hangzhou is considered the tea capital of China, and we visited the Tea House at Meijiawu Tea Village

The Tea Village was a beautiful place, set in a lush green valley

A atmosphere of peace and tranquillity within the village itself

All’s Well, I’ve A Dell

Where do I start

This ongoing story of blinking dark

My two year-old machined crashed in July

I’ve battled and struggled to get by

In and out of black I’ve seen

Infinite variations on my screen

By the hand of brother number two

I’ve finally another computer, almost new

No more sudden or continuous blinking blinking

No more going insane and thinking I’m sinking

For three months, a poet blogging monk

Now I’m back in gear, full of spunk

Street Art, The Other Half

In response to Weekly Prompt; Photo Prompt, The Other Half (I went to a different half), and also, in response to CalmKate’s Friday Foto Fun, the prompt,  Art

The featured Image above, was after I’d walk around the city centre of Geelong taking all of these photos,.. I had to have refreshments, and the best place seemed to be Pistol Pete’s Blues Bar, with loud music, tasty food and a cold beer or two.

For those followers of Australian Rock Music, the above mural is of Chrissy Amphlett,  she was a Geelong girl, and lead singer of the Divinyls, one of our great bands during the 1980’s and 1990’s

I’m Back On Top Of The Hill

Hi dear friends, I’m trying to answer the photo prompt/challenge from Weekly Prompts. this new computer set-up isn’t going too well, but please don’t tell my brother, who came down from Black Hill in Ballarat and spent 4 hours on my computer trying to set-up all the appts for me

, and really he’s done a wonderful job. So from my high up on my perch here on top of Bell Post, I shall post these lovely pic’s of Geelong’s  Botanical Gardens that I took on Tuesday, which is on top of a hill in the Eastern Gardens over looking our picturesque Corio Bay.

Inspired by real events chronicled by journalist for The World News, Elizabeth Cochrane (pen name, Nellie Bly), in 1887.

Auspiciously

“Weekly Prompt” . The word prompt for this week: Serendipity

I’m a poet of little renown

Writing continuously for eighteen years

Scribbling word after word

Penning thousands upon thousands of lines

Forming hundreds and hundreds of poems

My stories of memories and rhymes

Soulful words of mine

By perchance

I’m reviewing my poems today

Reading every poem, every word

Auspiciously

Discovering there’s a word

A word I’ve never used

I’m mystified and perplexed

I’ve never been charmed

With the gift of the written word

Fortuity has rolled on by me

I’m wondering why

Why I’ve never used the word

Serendipity

2 .Share one of your favourite song/lyrics one at a time for three days.
3 .Nominate three other bloggers each day. (or one, one is probably enough)

Day 2, I’m nominating,  Claudia

Today I’m presenting a band that might be new to most of my readers, however they have been going for a while. The dø is a French/Finnish indie pop band founded in Paris in 2005. The band is composed of Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy. I find Olivia Merilathi’s voice unusually captivating. In this video we are getting two songs for the price of one, the first song is, Despair Hangover & Ecstasy, the lyrics are below, and the second song is called, Miracles, and the lyrics are also below.

The Do Lyrics

“Despair, Hangover & Ecstasy”

We’re breaking promises we thought we could keep
We trigger avalanches unknowingly
We travel in and out, we take off, we land
We live in airports like we don’t have a plan
This is a journey and we call it home,
And when it stops we’re feeling miserable, wellWe’re breaking promises we thought we could keep
We trigger hurricanes unwillingly
It’s our fault
When it all
Breaks into everyone’s lives
But are we really to blame? It’s like a pain in the chest
Despair, Hangover and Ecstasy
So many people around
We disappoint and let down
And though we’re trying our best
Despair, Hangover and Ecstasy
Despair, Hangover and EcstasyWe’re breaking promises we thought we could keep
We trigger avalanches unknowingly, oh
We’re not so different from convicts on the run
Freedom could kill us, but we’d rather go on
This is a journey and we wanna go far
They say we’re selfish but this plane is on fireWe’re breaking promises we wanted to keep
We trigger hurricanes unwillingly
It’s our fault
When it all
Breaks into everyone’s lives
Still we would do it againIt’s like a pain in the chest
Despair, Hangover and Ecstasy
So many people around
We disappoint and let down
And though we’re trying our best
Despair, Hangover and Ecstasy
Despair, Hangover and EcstasyLike a pain in the chest
Despair, Hangover and Ecstasy
So many people around
We disappoint and let down
And though we’re trying our best
Despair, Hangover and Ecstasy
Our only mission, our destiny

The Do Lyrics

“Miracles (Back In Time)”

Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna, really wanna go?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back?I still have some pictures on my wall
I still know the places where they’re from
I still find all answers in my dreams
I still feel the gum under my shoeHow about holding a palm full of miracles
How about building a house on the moon

Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back?

I still care about you being well
I still wonder how we conquered hell
I still love this nonsense team we make
I still think we’re twisted both the same

How about holding a palm full of miracles
How about building a house on the moon

Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna, really wanna go?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
Do you really wanna, really wanna go?
Do you really wanna go back in time?
