Morning Illumination

The morning sky caresses my eyes

Shades of daylight colours, amplified

My open curtains welcome, sapphire’s radiance

Shimmering beams, royal and turquoise, advance

I’m illuminated, is this my day, to actually try

Gather up all my blues, yet to die

Pack them in first, don’t waste a chance

There is time left, to travel this vast expanse

My Itmims,* craft is waiting, and ready to fly

And traverse through space’s indigo sky

These alien eyes, sense my universe wants to have a dance

Beyond my star’s, everlasting existence

Some Time Now (Revised)

Anniversaries, they come, and they go

Some time now, since that final May snow

Anniversaries, my soul does not let them pass

Some time now, I reminisce the last

Anniversaries, none ever forgotten

Some time now, since your everlasting smile was taken

Anniversaries flowed over coral, of every color

Some time now, since your last wave of valor

Anniversaries, when love grew stronger

Some time now, since the years became longer

Anniversaries, across, love, suffering and pain

Some time now, since our river flooded with rain

Your troubles fell, with an Autumn leaf

Forever enshrined, in our promises of belief

September Footprint : Response to Spice by Ivor Steven

Thank you to, Fae Corps Publishing and ‘pattimouse’, for posting this poem of mine…. I wrote the words this morning, into between these annual teardrops of mine…… Don’t worry I’m coping ok, smiling at my excessive tear ducts, and the piles of tissues scattered around my writers haven….. Maybe I’ll attach a song …..My favourite tune, for this, “our” week of dreams………

Once Upon A Time

Our evening cloudy sky

Is glowing your colour red

The night’s ground is trembling

I hear an unearthly gale blowing

From where the half moon is howling

And I see your star is shaking

No, my dearest

I’ve not forgotten

You’re rattling my windows

Earlier than normal

Then that’s definitely you

Always ready and on time

I’ve yet to pick new flowers

For your pure white vase

Yes, forever watching over you

These years have flown

But today, feels like our tomorrow

My memory tears

Are all for you

And they’re singing our song
