Haiku:
Shelter
Shady under me
I’m a hospital Pine tree
A bench seat for three
Ivor Steven (c) 2019
A Haiku
Coastal
A strong coastal wind
Blowing sand across bare dunes
Vegetation gone

I would like to thank Christine Bolton of “Poetry for healing” for her prompt and inspiration, for me to write this Haiku. Please Click >> Here. To look at her glorious site and poems
January
Cloudless happy days
Sunlight kisses everything
Feeling warm within

Today I’ve written a quote, and then at the same time, I’ve converted the quote, into a Haiku. I’ll give you the quote first, then the Haiku
Quote: The Edge
“Life, is living on the edge
There’s no bottom nor top
Moving sideways is enough” – Ivor Steven
Haiku: The Edge
Living on the edge
Moving sideways is enough
No bottom nor top

The tree is murky green
Beyond it’s cloudy grey
Like the heaven’s are caving in
Collapsing from below
From the devil’s chasm to the distant horizon
To the horizon I cannot see
I cannot see tomorrow’s colours
Nor the colours of today’s sky

Tribal; A Haiku
I’m a proud member
A player in the world team
Now I’ve left the tribe

Dawn Eyes: A Dual Haiku
Dawn eyes remain shut
Tiredness consuming my head
The birds are quiet
Eyes wide, looking up
I feel the ceiling crush down
Heavy sheets, like lead
