Australia is a far away land

Only reached by ship or plane

Today, I saw the Ben Franklin Bridge at my door

Distant fairies were knocking, a message for Ivor

From my Philadelphia cousins, Maureen and Terry

They went to a Pop-Up Shop, a writers library

To meet Christine, our chief of  ‘Go Dog Go Cafe’

Who signed a book for me, and a joint photo for my display

Cherished Thanksgiving gifts, to make my heart beat

Now I’m looking forward to my cousin delivering the treats

I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. It’s been wonderful “Go Dog Go Cafe” month for me, firstly my meeting up with Gina here in Geelong, and then my cousins meeting you in Philadelphia. You can imagine how much I loved my visit to Philadelphia in May, my cousins thoroughly spoilt me. 💙🌏

    1. Meeting up with Gina a few weeks was a joyous occasion for both of us…… she was in Melbourne with her daughter, and made a special trip on the train to Geelong, to come down and see me, and we had a glorious day together touring the Bellarine Peninsula…xxx

    1. Yes, and all those concerned were thrilled to meet each, and I could feel the lovely vibes, later in my conversations with my cousins, Maureen and Terry, and also when I chatted to Christine…. And way over here the whole event was a wondrous buzz for me……
