G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      2. It was another tough day for all the affected areas….. strong winds and 40″c heat….. it might be cooler tomorrow……. lets prayer for better conditions…..

  4. At times like this though its tough and we have to fight there is an element of surrender too. If anything this shows us how precious normal days are and must be valued, at least that is what I am taking from it. Hard to imagine the suffering though of having all that you loved and surrounded you burnt to ash. Lets pray the Gods turn merciful soon.

  5. well said Ivor and thanks for the reblog! The TV visuals are too disturbing I think a brief written summary highlighting some of the positives is essential.

    Nobody is game enough to add the ongoing total of dead, missing and homes lost … the toll is huge 😦

  10. I’m very sorry for the tragedy happening to our most treasured friends and allies! It’s disconcerting how Trump hasn’t mentioned your sad state of affairs. He only tweets about himself; the ass!

      1. Yes! As well as putting children in cages… stealing from Vets and children with cancer when he ran his con charities. We can go on and on… yet still the gullible fools here continue to revere him as a Christian. 🤢🤮

        I apologize! Just so sick of the corruption here.

      2. Yes Rose will do… maybe tonight, but Sunday night I try to do my blogging…… I writer so many poems Rose, and of course I’m emotional and I’ve very active over these past few weeks…. my mind won’t sleep, there’s so much that must be said…… ((hugs))

      6. Oh, they’ll be different booklets, I’ve 14 books now,… I’m sick blogging, l’ll send you a email after dinner… Funnily I had to clean off all the smoke ash before I could cook on the barbecue…..
