Has Our Horizon Gone?

The sky is a blanket of smoke

Today, I cannot see the sun

Has our horizon gone?

Mother nature is angry

Humans have forgotten about life’s harmony

And God, cannot stop their selfish greed

 

Have we burnt too many of earth’s bridges?

The animals didn’t make it down the ridges

Most wildlife has been traumatically diminished

Millions of native animals have perished

Nothing here, will ever be the same, in my lifetime

Tonight, in my sleep, I shall carry buckets of lime

    1. Thank you Gael, the forces of nature have overwhelmed my thoughts and emotions, but like the earth, after it’s all gone we shall survive, however in the meantime my heart is still burning 🔥💙🌏

  6. Ohh your words touched my heart!!! Praying for you guys. What’s happening is devastating and I can’t believe we are still entangled in the debate of whether or not climate change is real. 😞

  7. profoundly said … lose of more than two thousand homes in my state alone, deaths, folk missing, lose of wildlife and livestock … we will survive but I pray we hear mother nature’s raging warning!

    1. There was a lull yesterday, but the weather conditions at the firefronts are worsening again over the next few days…… it’s terribly tough out there for all those involved…. xxxx
