G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I had this happen so often that years ago I decided when I “loan” a book it would be a gift…and don’t expect it back. 🙂
Sometimes I get it back and I’m pleasantly surprised. 🙂
I don’t lend the books that have sentimental value to me, etc.
(((HUGS))) and hope you had a wonderful day!!! 🙂
Yes, it’s frustrating, I have now vowed never to lend out my books or my DVD’s because it’s heartbreaking not to get them back. I just make recommendations to people now, “you must read this…” but even if I have a copy on my bookshelf, I don’t lend it out anymore.
I don’t enjoy this about myself but I am very conservative in lending books and for some reason those that I did lend, people have been very conscious of returning them consciously soon enough. Perhaps I need to become more generous…

I hear you! None of the ‘borrowing’ books and then ‘forgetting’ to return them!
