Miners Rest and MacArthur Park Wetlands

Miners Rest is a semi-rural town with a very small township and commercial area. It.is a suburb north of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia on the north-western rural-urban fringe of the city, 11 kilometres northwest of the Central Business District. The population at the 2021 census was 3,829.

MacArthur Park Wetlands Is a tranquil retreat for all residents who proudly call it home, Macarthur Park, with its breathtaking wetlands, provides a relaxing retreat to take in its beautiful award-winning scenery. A haven for native flora and families alike, residents can enjoy a nice picnic or barbeque and playground for the kids, or take a stroll, walk the dog or, for the more energetic, jog around the wetlands walking track.

While staying at my sister’s place in Miners Rest, me and Frankie thoroughly enjoy our morning walkies around the MacArthur Park Wetlands area.
