Rain hail, or sunshine
The lover’s pen writes a line

In this Universe
Love’s our universe within
Our own shining star

‘Featured Image’ above: I’ve used this wonderful photo from Derrick Knight’s blog/website before, although here today, I’ve used a colour filter (Vanilla). Again thank you Derrick, for allowing me to use this beautiful and impressive photo, with my humble little Haiku.

Yellow Light, a Haiku
Today the sky smiled
Above golden setting sun
And the moon did shine

I’ve having a busy Wednesday. My Barwon (Geelong) Health, and Aged Care Plan, has begun today, with a morning visit from the nurse organising my plan, and this afternoon, the plan’s Doctor came to visit me, and from tomorrow, I’ll be having daily visits by physiotherapists and occupational therapists. .. The health program is design around keeping me comfortable and safe at home, and reduce the risks of further falls or accidents in the home… Don’t worry, I am reasonably healthy, and I’m happy to be within this scheme, which is about looking after susceptible older persons living by themselves, and after my recent episodes, I’m in that category…. So my time here on WP has been limited today, and will be for a couple of weeks, as get used to health plan’s orientation and introduction…. Haha,.. having said all that, I had time to write this Haiku at lunchtime, a piece which had been drifting about in mind….
Drifting Forward
Cleanse our dirty clouds
Saturate the stains with rain
Wash away this pain

Back in 1972, I was a great fan of the band, ‘Uriah Heep’, and I’d play the song “Wizard” on my record player, every chance I had. The music was magical, and the lyrics superbly depicted the feelings within my heart …. and my visions of a more peaceful and harmonious world, might soon be achieved……. That was nearly 50 years ago, and I vividly remember the song, but I’m afraid the world has forgotten the “Lyrics”
Wizard (a Haiku)
Mysterious dreams
Magicians run amok
Wizards remember

The Wizard. Lyrics by Uriah Heep
He was the wizard of a thousand kings
And I chanced to meet him one night wandering
He told me tales and he drank my wine
Me and my magic man kind of feeling fine
He had a cloak of gold
And eyes of fire
And as he spoke I felt a deep desire
To free the world of its fear and pain
And help the people to feel free again
Why don’t we listen to the voices in our hearts
‘Cause then I know we’d find we’re not so far apart
Everybody’s got to be happy
Everyone should sing
For we know the joy of life
The peace that love can bring
So spoke the wizard in his mountain home
The vision of his wisdom means we’ll never be alone
And I will dream of my magic night
And the million silver stars that guide me with their light
