Throwback Friday, Dragonfly, Nature’s Guardian Eye

Long before homo sapiens overachievers
You were the swamp’s incorruptible believer
Overseer of the planet’s rivers and valleys
The weary world’s ardent ally

Long before the floundering Ark
You were our wisest Monarch
Overseer of the forest’s unpolluted sky
Nature’s sprightly guardian eye

Ripples in the Sky

Hi, to all perceptive observers,
you, might not be able to see me,
but, if you look through telescopic eyes,
I’m up here, high in the Cirrocumulus clouds,
lounging in my excellent recliner chair,
sharing the sky’s Blue Theatre,
with the daytime silvery moon.

We are tactfully floating upon
the troposphere’s delicate white ripples,
and wistfully waving to the world’s
congregating survivors.

The peaceful moom cautiously emerges
And involuntarily reflects our truthfulness

Are we self-consciously honest enough?
To read his self-evident messages
Are we able to undo our self-imposed handcuffs?
And cease our self-righteous fisticuffs

Ivor and Frankie’s Day at the Market

Featured Image Above; it was great to see that my poem “Invincible Pieces” was still on display on the glass door of The Third Space Gallery at the Creative Geelong Makers Hub ...

We started our day with an early morning walkie. A bright blue sky greeted us, and the Waning Gibbous was there, too!

After breakfast, we headed off to the Creative Geelong Market. We had our stall all set up by 11:00 a.m., and Frankie was comfy in his director’s chair.
