Today (Wednesday), the “Corpse Plant’s” Flower had begun wilting and closing up. I think the next stage of the flower’s demise will be the collapse/folding over of the central spike (the Spadix). Yes! … I’m coming back tomorrow.
Because there were no queues today! we had time to explore and discovered some interesting displays in the Botanical Gardens.
Frankie in the dog house at the old Customs House
Wow … it’s nearly midnight … these pictorial articles/posts are taking me a long time to prepare and put together! … now, to find a suitable song …
The Corpse Plant flower will start deteriorating soon, so we enthusiastically (maybeFrankie was not so keen!) went to the “Gardens” for another close-up view today, and we’ll probably come back tomorrow. The phenomenal event has captured my imagination and I will not miss the next stage of the ‘flower’s short existence …
Yes Frankie! we’re in the queue again …
Yes Frankie! we’re nearly there
Yes Frankie! we’re inside and I can see the ‘flower’
Yes Frankie! we’re here, and the “Corpes Flower” is ours for few moments
Yes Frankie! the ‘Flower’ was big news in the newspaper today
After enjoying our morning walkies, Gina and I (without Frankie) travelled to Drysdale, where we enjoyed an excellent luncheon/dining experience on board The Q Train, a historic train that travels between Drysdale and Queenscliff.
Thursday evening we attended the Geelong Library’s special presentation of the famous Australian author, “Tim Winton, in conversation with Jock Serong, as they discussed Tim Winton’s new novel, JUICE. [This event was the main reason why Gina had come to Geelong]
Early morning walkies, followed by a visit to the historic Fyansford Paper Mills Precinct and a coffee break, then we drove down to Bancoora Beach to enjoy a walk in the warm sun, on the cool golden sand
We had lunch at the Moorabool Valley Chocolate Cafe and then we decided to travel over to the You Yangs National Park
By now it was late afternoon and it was time to go home and get ready for Dinner at the ‘Industrie’ Restaraunt with the Geelong Writers members

Today, I accompanied my friend Barb to Melbourne’s wonderful Lume Gallery to see the amazingly expansive exhibition of Leonardo Da Vinci’s unique and monumental display of his artistry, creativity, and ingenuity. Definitely, an opportunity that I was not going to miss out on, and I hope my photo/story conveys our fantastic experience of being mesmerized by the “Genius of Da Vinci”

Yesterday was the Creative Geelong Market Day, which allowed me to inspect the newly opened “Untethered Gallery”, also a part of the Geelong Creative’s Makers Hub.
“I’ll let my photos tell the story”
Firstly, at the Market, I enjoyed a friendly and successful day. My “Poem, Lucky Dip Bucket” was again very popular, and I also sold some of my “Books”
Secondly, I strolled 20 paces down the Arcade to visit the impressive newly opened “Untethered Gallery”, a truly outstanding venue for the Creative Geelong Makers Hub. The photos are of the Gallery and the Creative Geelong artist’s wonderful exhibits
