A Fluffy White Stairway

Over at Weekly Prompts “today is the 1st October”, and the October Colour Challenge is Just Black! … Please visit their fabulous site by clicking on >> Here … and below is my response to the ‘Prompt’

A Fluffy White Stairway

Gazing above

At the faint fluffy clouds

I see a narrow stairway

Ascending into the sky

I wonder

What happens

At the top of the stairs

Beyond the open doorway

Will the outlook

Be dazzling white

Or a panorama

Of just black

Dancing In The Rain (an Epigram)

In one way or another

After leaving our mothers

Life delivers us to love and pain

While dancing in the rain

@ivors20

If there is something
I could do
I would do anything
To save you
Mother Nature, you are everything
I look up to
My words are nothing
Compared to you
You are the orchestrator of things
With a balcony view

Broken Ground

Over at Weekly Prompts, the Wednesday Challenge is: Broken Please visit their fabulous site by clicking on >> Here … My appropriate Broken poem is attached below

Broken Ground

I stand here

and look to the east

my tolerant eyes

see an unbroken white moon

in a clear sapphire sky

behind me

from the west

I feel the unbroken golden sun

warm my ancient shoulders

here I am

standing on

middle ground

below me

I hear my broken earth

groan through the cracks

caused by the broken

and unshackled chains of war

Who Is in Command?

“Time Is On My Side”

Who Is in Command?

Spring sunshine

Dominates the sky

Nature’s warmth

Becalms my unsettled mind

Yesterday’s problems

Have blown over

And diffused toward

Today’s blue horizon

Time! is on my side,

hears no commands,

and takes no passengers.

Time Takes No Passengers

More Duck Muck (a Tanka)

a plucky golden

sunset, stuns my yucky eyes

stuck inside the screen

of my computer’s duck muck

“Captain Starbuck’s coming soon”
