The New World’s “AI” Design

The New World’s “AI” Design

The ancient wheels of time
Have been mysteriously left behind
In refuse paddocks of weeds and slime
Oh, what a mortifying crime

Has society overstepped the line
Spoke-less, with no rhythm or rhyme
Have we become deaf, dumb, and blind
Unable to handle the future’s slippery climb
Without using the New World’s AI design

“Under One Roof”, the Indie Author Book Fair

The above 6 photos, were taken by Claudia Collins, my neighbouring book stall author, and a fellow ‘Geelong Writer’

I had a delightful time meeting many other Authors at today’s Book Fair, although a midday summer storm somewhat curtailed attendance.

The below 6 photos, were taken by myself.

Today’s Waxing Gibbous Moon

Today’s Waxing Gibbous Moon

We are under the Cafe’s verandah
enjoying our cake and coffee
and soaking up the summery atmosphere

Enthusiastically waiting
for the midafternoon moonrise,
the blue sky’s attractive half-moon

Hopefully, the gathering clouds
will dissipate soon
and allow us to view
another phenomenal daytime moon

Birds, Swift and Small ( a Rhyming Haiku)

“Birds have commandeered my poetic imagination lately.“

Birds, Swift and Small (a Rhyming Haiku)

The tree’s bashful eyes
Colourful gems of the sky
So, swiftly they fly

Talking to a Restless Moon

Over at Weekly Prompts, the Wednesday challenge is the word ‘Tomorrow‘. To visit their fabulous site please click on >> Here

Talking to a Restless Moon

On this scorching afternoon
I spoke to a restless moon
He said,
“The sky’s blue balloon
has been treacherously harpooned
by a scary orange buffoon
who openly sucks on his own dirty silver spoon
and be warned, no one is immune”

Since then, I’ve been lying low
But soon I’ll need to leave my hot bungalow
And fly forward to a safer and cooler tomorrow

Lost and Found – or – There, Here, and Where?

Lost and Found – or – There, Here, and Where?

There
Lying on solid ground
My shallow shadow wears no face
And utters no sound

Here
My outline bears no carapace

Where
On a graveside mound
I see my darkness
Waiting to be found

The Moon’s Love Song, is in this week’s Coffee House Writers Magazine edition.

Hello, dear readers and followers. I write for Coffee House Writers magazine (USA) fortnightly, and my poem “The Moon’s Love Song” is in this week’s edition …
To Read my poem, please click on the link below to visit the article, at Coffee House Writers Magazine.

Note: My poem is a “Horatian Ode”
* A Horatian ode is a lyrical poem that expresses personal feelings or thoughts, often characterized by a calm and reflective tone. It typically follows a structured form and addresses philosophical themes such as love, nature, and morality, drawing inspiration from the works of the Roman poet Horace. This type of ode is known for its musicality and balance, making it distinct from other forms like the Pindaric ode.
