Wondering And Wandering

Wondering And Wandering

So early, on this cold summers day.

A gloomy morn, grey clouds reflect the way.

No desire to arise, come what may.

An empty bed, here I could stay

Sad and alone, wondering I pray.

Would love find home, while wandering astray.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. A very old poem, ah, them old grey clouds. Carole had to be moved to a bedroom for herself and all her special needs. It was all so very strange, so hard to explain about life throughout all those 30 years. I suppose my words are a 30 year story/journey β™‘

    1. Tricia, “OH GOD”, you’ve read so many of my poems, feeling quite humbled. If you have the time, a few of my earlier posts are some of my personal favorites, This Lost Shadow, Haven’t Seen You For A While, Where’s That Dream, and I think you might enjoy Waterways, Cheers β™‘β™‘
