Antony And The Johnsons, have long been a favourite of mine, and this song and lyrics, “Daylight And The Sun”, I think is an exceptional example of Antony Hegarty’s talents. Antony and the Johnsons!! My goodness I haven’t heard that incredible voice in some time. I saw them live once and it was impossible not to feel emotional during Hope There’s Someone. Wow, thanks for bringing these back to my attention! 😍

Yes Arbie, one of the most emotionally charged voices I’ve ever heard. I play 2 of his CD albums quite often, “Bird Girl” and “The Crying Light”, both are superb.

I suppose “Antony’s” music is what you might categorize as Alternative. He has a wonderful voice, and his Album “The Crying Light”, is outstanding both lyrically and musically…..

Yes, his music is somewhat alternative, and he is too. but his voice is unbelievable, I’ll send you his version of Leonard’s “If It Be Your Will”, absolutely superb.

And yet, in some strange way there’s something classical about it. He’s obviously a free-thinker where music is concerned.
