Write to me, please
All I can do is quietly listen,
Listen, to your sweet voice,
Soothing my throbbing soul.
Write to my swollen eyes.
My life is becoming blurry,
And my reading’s in over-freeze.
Like the Bibles first Eve.
Write to my fallen voice.
Your’s always sounds like an angel.
Gently baptizing my ears,
And caressing my absent mind.
Write to my broken heart.
Mine’s still here to share,
Always so true and soft.
Like a morning’s virgin kiss.
Please write to me.
And set me free.
Ivor Steven.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Time for some of your happy posts my friend. Writing about happy things will make you feel better. You know that I know how you feel and the hurt never fully goes away, but it will lessen in time if you let it. God bless you Ivor.

Dear Ivor,
Just like all your poems before, I fully enjoyed reading this. You have a very impressive way of making me feel all the things! and, of bringing to life some of my favourite characters to appear on this site – Dragon! I hope you’re well. I know you’ve been sick and from what you’ve said a lot of your poems are fueled by difficult events in your life.
Will write again, because…you know, I’m always around here lurking. 😉 😛
Yours sincerely,
Arbie X
P.S You’re brilliant.

Beautiful and very touching. I feel you should write what you feel and when you are ready to move forward you will. It’s important to have closure but it must happen when you are ready.
