Here One Day, Gone The Next.

MY GIRL.                                                                                                                               Emotional news, our gorgeous little Lily has passed. She died peacefully in her favourite basket, in my bedroom, with me sitting on the the floor beside her, patting her ’til her last tiny breath… Lily’s gone to be in the arms of her Angel, Carole, in the universe of Celestial Stars, and dreams…………. One day.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thanks, I’ve just buried her, and crying heaps, but that’s me I”m an emotional guy. xx Going out to have a beer, and have just learnt that Carole’s Dad passed this afternoon. Officially this is not a good day..

      1. I don’t think you’re an emotional guy, I think you’re a normal human being who is feeling sad, as they should be.
        Shit, it does sound like a bad day. Have a few beers and try to relax. Sorry again lovely.

  4. Ivor! So sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. I know this must be a difficult time for you and yet you chose to share it. I love you for this. You’re such an amazing heart and your soul is so touching. Be at peace my friend. Be aware of that love, now surrounding you twice as strongly.

  5. So sorry for your loss, Ivor. I pray for more strength to you to carry on without your beautiful companion. She’s now in a wonderful place called Doggy’s heaven with endless treats and backrubs and she’s looking over you with all her love. Take care of yourself and cherish her memories.
