After the blossom

After last years rotting cores

They’re the trees nourishment

Understanding our time

Is no easy rhyme

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  4. Your mind is a wondrous place! So many times when I read your posts, I am left speechless..except for the spontaneous response often used by my 4 yr. old grandson, Benjamin, “WOW!”. Thank-you!

  8. I like this and wise words! True love is hard to find, love can break your spin, love can pull us in many directions. The push and pull sometimes draws closer. How do you feel about tension? Hey Mr….. do I call you Ivors20?

      2. I write as much as I can, I blog a lot, always writing comments, And I still do some part-time plumbing work, which gets me out and about……. and I’m seeing my psychologist on Monday. I hope you’re coping ok xx

      3. I am. I stay really busy, my girls, school and work occasionally so there is not much time to think. Until nighttime and I’m laying here in bed. I’ll read and write don crazy post and sometimes delete it and sometimes fall asleep before I have a chance. Lol maybe I’ll write something tonight! Try to smile and I will too.

      4. I smile a lot. I smile at my crazy self, I smile at our silly world, I smile with my friends, and now I’ll smile with you, cheers my friend, as I grin from ear to ear, trying not to worry about the overactive atoms between the ears ….
