The sun is shining, the day is grand, I found our Anniversary band, made of pure silver, here in my hand, I’ll mount it on a stand, like the day she placed the gift in my hand, hand in hand we still stand, our feet sharing the warm sands, yes my memories are grand, so let’s strike up the band.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Oh that’s gorgeous Linda,. ☺️ I’m so pleased I found it, I’ve moved 4 times in the 5 years and I’ve lost so much in the process, but this is so special to discover, from our 3rd anniversary in 1979 😃❤️

      2. I suppose I knew that, I’m being modest, I sometimes wonder at my own outpourings, and how they are expressed in my writings, and I’m ever sure how they they come across. When I’m crying while I’m writing, then I figure my poem is ok. 😊 xx
