I hear the wind whistling in the trees
Rustic sounds of rustling leaves
Swirling down through the branches
Prancing colourful dancers
Faery’s of the forest floor
Mother nature’s spiritual encores
I hear the wind applause for more
Seasonal breezes carrying pollen spores
Germinating ancient lands over the eons
Eden’s garden of blossom and vines
Serving our tables full of apples and wines
I hear the wind whispering memories and rhymes

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

First, I read your poem…it is so beautiful! Next, I listened to Whispering Wind…it, too, is so beautiful! Then, I read your poem while listening to Whispering Wind…moments of magic that far exceeded beautiful, it left me breathless! Thank-you!

Thank you β€οΈ Ellen, I wrote the poem after we had a windy evening 2 evenings ago, and I could hear the the sounds in the trees, and then I knew about the music and it, seemed a lovely choice for my words, especially with Irish folklore stories about Faeries. π Xxxx

It’s very windy here today Ivor. We even had warnings to stay indoors. It has yet to get tat bad, but it may be heading your way. Then you can write a sequel π

Speaking as an Ainsel (a fairy girl in Northern England) I enjoyed your poem very much. You chose well with the picture and I’m sure I can see some of my faraway relatives dancing around in there!
Youβve been quiet for a few days and I was beginning to feel worried. I was going to send you a message this morning if there was nothing here to wake up to, but here you are π
I’m glad the computer is due back today, must be a big relief for you. xx

I’ve a temporary set up, my brother has just set up for me. While he reconstructs my old old computer, he just rang me to say the Motherboard is stuffed βΊοΈ

I once had that problem, I forgot to unplug from power and router during a thunderstorm!

Wonderful!
Perfect photo and music for your poem! The music was so peaceful and beautiful!
Your poem is very magical, light, airy, sigh-worthy, imagination inducing, etc!
The wind works so hard and plays such interesting “songs”. We had a breezy day here, so I said “Hey” to the wind. π
When will your computer be fixed? Hope soon!
HUGS!!! π

You’re so kind, I do like to write the fantasy of life, it’s all around us if we let our imaginations go unabridged. maybe this is another
example. https://ivors20.wordpress.com/2017/10/19/a-midday-sun/
