Day Lily And Love

Upon my pillow I sleep.

Good morning, I do peek.

From the cushion of my dreams.

A pads radiating beams.

Blushing red hues, oh so bright.

You bloom during the night.

After cuddling the dew.

You open up your scenic view.

Flowering, standing proud and steep.

Perfection at my feet.

A glorious Lily, like wings of a dove.

And by Day you air your love.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      2. 😊 I’m not so positive this morning, I woke up with terrible thoughts and vivid visions, and I was crying 😢 but at work now and that’ll help me to take my mind away from those bad memory moments. 😊 It’s part of life,… But not a good part…..

  4. You have met and exceeded the challenge, beautifully! Each piece divinely compliments the others. The Cyclamen has become a favorite flower, ever since my little Grandson chose a 2 1/2 inch potted one for me over a year ago. It grows and blooms on my kitchen window shelf. Thank-you!

    1. I’m glad you liked my Cyclamen, it’s growing well on a self in my fernery, and I highlighted the flower by placing a white board behind it for the photo take. 😊 The photo turned out nicely 😉

        I try to speak only kind, encouraging words every day. I think most people already have enough critics and judgemental people in their lives. I live to be an encourager, a smile-bringer…in person and on my blog. 🙂
