Suzhou Tonight

Hi Dear readers, today is my 6th day in China, and the first time I’ve had a consistent Wi-Fi connection.

Walk To The Moon

I did walk on The Great Wall

The Wall can be seen by a man on the moon

Well look at me now, Neil

Here I am on top of the World

And I saw a hole in the wall

Crouching down low, I peered

Through a bluestone window

And what did I espy

I saw another piece of the Wall

A guardian tower, standing tall

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. I was hoping to see some pictures! Amazing experience, Ivor! Also, love the use of the word espy – I vote it should somehow be put into every day use!! Have fun and stay safe! x

    1. I’m feeling a bit betterer, and my trip is very hectic, very amazing, incredibly different, thoroughly enjoyable, China is wonderful. I’m in Shanghai for the next 2 days, and it’s a huge city and our hotel is next door to Shanghai central station. 😊 😊 ❤️

    1. Hi Dear Efi, we don’t get YouTube here in China 🇨🇳. I’ll look at your video clip when I get back to Australia. More pictures tonight and maybe a poem if I’m not too tired xx
