Mind Games

Hi dear readers , it’s only 8.30pm
here and I’m in bed now. I’m not well, my occipital neuralgia has flared up badly . All I can do is rest, so I’ll be lying low for a few days (or more). Hope you all have a good weekend 🙄😏

There’s a sharp pain

Inside my brain

Harpooning my eye

More than Ouch, I cry

So hard to write

Blurry is my sight

All I do is peep

And I must rest and sleep

I’ve not lost the knack

And I shall be back……….

Hopefully soon

Before they play my tune

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      2. Headache/neuralgia is still bad, but the fever I had yesterday has abated, which is good, otherwise I would’ve have gone to hospital 🏥 if my temp kept rising. So one day at a time, and hopefully my terrible headache will dissipate too 🙂😕💙💙

    I hope you can get the proper rest and feel better soon.
    I rarely ever get headaches and I had a bad one 2 days ago. It took rest/sleep in a dark, cool, quiet room and several Advil to finally get it under control. I’m still feeling the residual pain today.
    I’m sending prayers, healing thoughts, healing wishes and gentle (((HUGS))) to you.
