G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Leonard Cohen would dig your poem, Ivor! It goes well with his song. ππΌ
Oh Rose, you’ve given me a big smile, although I’m not well. π I’m struggling to concentrate and writing and reading is difficult, but I’ve managed to do a few poems since I’ve been in hospital. π Lovely to hear from you Rose πΉ xxx
Ivor I know I’ve missing but I’ve been dealing with my own mess…keep it going Ivor write till it rains…..stay strong….i just got out of the hospital myself
Yes Ivor I will spare you the details but let me just say I am lighter than I was going in…i will listen to you as much as I can and visit also…….be patient as well as a good patient
Thank you β€οΈ Gina, and don’t forget Mum’s sponge-cake. I hope you can get a bit of a break from work on the weekend. It’s 1.00am here, and I’ve just had my 2nd change of bedsheets tonight, soaked, from my fever sweat. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to sleep now. I’m happy my poem worked out OK. Anything I do at the moment is so difficult for me, my continual headache is mind sapping. π xxx
and so you need to take a break, and let the fever run its course and just focus on healing. you worry too much about others even as you are feeling so poorly. meditate on good things and i am sending you all the best and healing vibes I can across the seas. love and hugs Ivor, so much love and hugs to you. yes have a little cake and with each mouthful let it nourish and fortify you body and soul-Mum’s are always the best!!
You are very welcome dear friend. I’ve not been well.myself and didn’t see that you were back in the hospital. What a pair of old poets we are my friend. π

Aw. π¦ That can be so annoying and tiring. π¦
If it’s thumpin’ a good beat you could write down a drum solo for Ginger Baker or Lars Ulrich! π Just teasin’! π
