Beyond Imagination

Next year, after Easter

I’m flying north

Across a vast ocean

Towards a place called America

From the west to the east coast

Landing at the big apple

Taking a small bite, five days

Then a train from Grand Central Station

For a debut meeting with my cousins in Philadelphia

My Dad’s far away relatives

I shall rejoice in the reunion our family’s spirits

Oh yes, the dream of my lifetime

A fortuity beyond the realms of my imagination

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. No, but I’ve spent most of the day with my own Doctor, and then into out-patients, to visit my medical team, looks like i’ve had lots of little mini-strokes, maybe caused be an infection in/on the heart, all very complicated, and more tests and procedures, over the next few weeks…. the investigations are continuing Watson !!

      4. No treatment yet, but I’m not to do anything strenuous, 😁like now I’m under house arrest !! 😉 I’ve a camera procedure in my heart to do, and I’m to wear a heart monitor next Wednesday. 😊 So there’s more tests to do ☺️

      8. Oh there’s a few positives, and the Doctor’s are happy that I’m still slowly improving and that the fever’s have stopped 🤗😁💛

      10. Yes the Doc’s are calm, they’re still trying to find the source of my problem, hope my heart procedures will discover something. 😊 😊 ❤️

      12. The whole process is quite tiring and of course I can’t help but worry a bit, although I’m still positive 💛🤗😁I’m glad I’m a writer, it keeps my mind busy 🤗😀

Oh it was 40’C here yesterday and 28’C over night, 😉 so it was a tough day for me all round, and I suppose my attitude got me through and I coped with everything ok and it’s a bit cooler today, and I’m feeling ok, and thank you ❤️ for your kindness, all the support for me is definitely heart-warming xxcx
