Conundrum

The heart of the matter

A conundrum of chatter

I wrote a poem after a stroke

Who’s left to row the boat

Inside a brain covered with spots

There’s a sail full of mini-clots

I know she broke my heart

But how does an infection start

There’s to be a deep soul search

My heart needs more deep research

I was playing Powderfinger’s album, “Odyssey Number Five” whilst I writing this poem and for no reason I’ve chosen this song for you to listen to, while reading my poem.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. been waiting … so lots of mini-clots are causing your headaches?
And the infection is where, or throughout?
and your heart needs more tests?

Not sounding too good but at least you’re hear to tell us about it! And hoping you’re still at home … 🙂

    1. I’m still at home 🏡 and they’re still not sure, lots more tests and procedures for me over the next few weeks 😊 but I’m reasonably ok, although I’m not allowed to do anything, 😁like now I’m under house arrest 🙄☺️😅
