G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Plenty of rest Ivor. Hope it’s going well. Loved this music!
i love how you see yourself as a castle, your heart is fortress of many amazing lines of poetry, no time ever wasted, your observations and keen eye follows every second with joy to me. you are writing and that is the best part of being still. did you get a day pass? what did you get up to? was there cake involved?
Too early to know about the day pass, but my nurse seems to think I’ll be right. Yes I’ve plenty of spare time here in hospital, and my writing helps me keep calmπ€π
I’m glad at the very least that you are not restricted from moving about. It sounds like you feel better than you had the last time you were in the hospital. I hope the testing is complete and answers are soon at hand.
How are you doing, Ivor?!
You always find good things to do with time, even when you are being held captive!
Keep thinking, writing, chatting, observing, ETC! π
That music made me sigh. π
(((HUGS)))
I thought the haunting music suited my poem Carolyn. Thanks for liking my words, I enjoy writing when I’m captive, keeps my mind active and puts interest into my dull day. ((hugs)) πππ

They’re an Icelandic group “Solstafir”, basically a heavy band, but they play a lot of this dramatic sort of music

I handled this hospital time (8 days) well, and I was allowed the walk everywhere unassisted……… (from spam)

I’m sure there’s much to explore
but is there ever enough time
to get to the core … of Ivor?! π

Never time wasted Ivor, time to express yourself poetically time to speak freely.

Your use of time here is beautiful. Thought of Croceβs Time in a Bottle. Mark
