G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Excellent, although I prefer The Lovin’ Spoonful original. However, Your poem gives me Good Vibrations!
Vivid! Imagery like a branding iron. In contrast, today in Colorado Springs, we’re seeing the heaviest snow fall in years. For a brief moment, though, I felt I was in Australia, in the midst of a drought.
I’ve been meaning to tell you, Ivor. I cycle through about 120 blogs a month, most of them poetry blogs. In my myopic but honest opinion, yours is one of the very best.
It’s a bit cooler this week, but we did have 4 horrid days in a row.. I’m happy you liked my little poem, especially with your “fat raindrops” in a line I twisted it around ππ€π€
After that amazing photo and your sizzlin’ poem, I think I’ll open a window and let the winter cold in! π
OH, I sure hope it cools down soon! Please be safe and stay indoors!
I do love Mr. Cocker! I was just listening to some of his songs on Saturday! π
HUGS!!! π
I’m so glad you liked my photo. I took the picture just down at the end of my road, I happened to be in the right place at the right time. Yes the poem is a little scorcher. ποΈππ I’m ok, the cool change did come. And Joe Cocker is always great to listen to ((hugs))

It’s a lot cooler today, thanks Helen. With my stroke and the heat, it was certainly a tiring time

Surely a trying space of time for you Ivor. We are waiting for Spring here, still snow and cold. Take care and rest well.
