G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I am happy that you are in the hospital so everything will be fine for you!!
Do not tire yourself with computers now…. relax think happy things and let doctors help you be fine soon!! Send you my love Ivor!!!

Your rainbow photo, poem, and the song bring smiles on a dreary rainy day! Thank you, Ivor! π
You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers!

Thank you Carolyn, I really enjoyed writing this poem and I happened to be listening to Lola Marsh at the time, and the song I found to quite enchanting ππβ€οΈ((hugs))
Another rainbow song for you today, Ivor! You and your poetry are rainbows in my life! π
When it rain it pours but you didn’t even notice
It ain’t rainin’ anymore, it’s hard to breathe when all you know is
The struggle of staying above, the rising water line
Well, the sky is finally opened, the rain and wind stopped blowin’
But you’re stuck out in the same old storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, but darlin’ I’m just tryin’ to tell ya
That there’s always been a rainbow hangin’ over your head
If you could see what I see, you’d be blinded by the colours
Yellow, red and orange and green, and at least a million others
So tie up the bow, take off your coat and take a look around
‘Cause the sky is finally opened, the rain and wind stopped blowin’
But you’re stuck out in the same old storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, oh darlin’ I’m just tryin’ to tell ya
That there’s always been a rainbow hangin’ over your head
Oh, tie up the bow, take off your coat and take a look around
Everything is alright now
Thank you Punam, I heard the song first, and the genuine feeling of her beautiful voice and lyrics inspired me to write this poem, I was enraptured and I hope my poem did her sweet voice justice
