G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. Oh, I’m with you! Great minds think alike! Naked or boxers are my fav way to see men! 😉 😀

Okay, if Rod Stewart or Hugh Jackman or Jason Statham were wearing budgie smugglers, I’d take a look! 😉 😀

Poor Ivor! Us chatting about such stuff on his blogsite!

      2. HA! Oh, good! 🙂

Well, I discovered Rod when I was a little girl and for some reason I liked him and his voice. I’ve gotten teased my whole life for liking him. Oh, well. I did get to see him concert once! I enjoyed myself! 🙂

Ha! If I listed all the men I’d like to see in those “conditions”, we’d be here all night! 😉 I just love men! 🙂

      3. yes you are so right Ivor, I would languish and fade away with insufficient vegemite … trust you to think of the essentials, Carole was blessed to have you caring for her!

    1. Tullawalla, was the name of our family home in Ocean Grove, a beach house, not far from Geelong. I’ve recovered the name plaque, and it now proudly hangs under my Verandah. Tullawalla is an aboriginal word, meaning meeting place …. I’ve written 9 poetry booklets, and their title all begin with the word, Tullawalla……

  1. Packing early..the way to go! 😁 Great to be reminded of John Williamson. He was championed on the local radio station where we used to live, in Birmingham, by an adopted Brummie, radio presenter from Australia, called Ed Doolan. Sadly, Ed passed away recently, but his programmes were legendary in The Midlands. We went to see John Williamson when he was on tour in the UK, quite a few years ago, & what a fun night!
