Wide rivers and heavy highways

Waterfront peirs and riverside parks

Ancient history and old monuments

Suburban Philadelphia and New Jersey cross-overs

Faraway cousins and new family’s found

Niece’s, nephews and grandchildren abound

Greeting hugs and welcoming hearts

Blissful times and precious memories

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    With roaring wind and crushing tides,
    All alone and cold in the wild.
    There’s no need to be alone,
    For a place of love and happiness abide,
    A place full of warmth and love.
    Don’t live your life feeling cold.
    Feel the warmth of Home.

    1. Oh Carolyn I’m having such a glorious time,. Later on today I’m going to stay with my cousin Ken’s for a few days, and his daughter Kerri, my most favourite girl !!! I suppose she is the real reason behind my trip coming true. She’s my inspiration and living light of courage, and the life of my faith in humanity….. Her motto and attitude for life continues to inspire me…. “Don’t let the world bring you down, overcoming obstacles is not impossible”….. ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗
