An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
The Rear Of Night
The Weekend Photo Challenge, on Weekly Prompts is, Rearย << Click …. Above is my photo of the rear of my unit, in this morning’s fog. And below today’s poem, “The Rear Of Night”
My foggy morning, an inky dye
The heavy mist, has kidnapped my sky
Sabotaging my light, the sun disappeared in front of my eyes
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Oh I do like this and I thank you for linking to our challenge. Unfortunately, it hasn’t showed up on our site. I picked up this via my e-mail. I will check the Spam folder! ๐
It’s not in the Spam or Pending so can you delete your original link and try another pingback. In the meantime I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Thanks Ivor
Brilliant! And thank you. So many sites are playing up lately. I had a lot of trouble with one graphic on my final Alien story. Then today another blogger told me he’d also had a problem! ๐
WP has not been good to me lately, I lost some of the sites of bloggers I’ve following for ages, It’s been quite a process to recover them and then apologise for my absence …. and very annoying…
Your words are vivid and relatable! Just reading them, I can feel the inky dark, the misty chill, and the foggy rear. Brr… (and HA!)
Of course, the sun AND moon will shine again when the mist and fog disappear!
(((HUGS))) ๐
Ooh I do like, โThereโs no start, nor end to my blurred sightโ Ivor..foggy days are like that, as if your sight is blurred. I know theyโre gloomy days, but they do have a special atmosphere.

A short poem, almost a micro one, but I’m happy. It said everything I wanted to say at that moment. Thank you Carol ๐๐

I always long for the sun to chase away the foggy days and dispel the emotional gloom that so often results. this captures it all so well.
