I’m Not Too Tired, Yet

Yesterday, I was dead tired

Today, I sternly asked

 

Why does life have to be such a task ?

Then I quietly answered myself

 

Life is like a bean-stalk

Isn’t it ?  My son

 

Whilst we are climbing high

Reaching for the sun

 

I cannot wait, for tomorrow’s snow

I’m not ready to go

 

I’m yet to repaint the sky

Again, I’ll have to learn how to fly

Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  12. Super expressive write about a subject we can all relate to. Well written, Ivor.
    Shockingly you’ve added a song from another great artist writer that I adore. Gone too soon. I wrote a story about him awhile back.
    Dance Me To The End of Time is my favorite of all his songs. I can listen to it several times in a row. Great post …

    1. Thank you Isadora, I listen to Leonard Cohen’s a lot, he’s my fav’. He’s got so many glorious songs, probably my fav’ is “One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong
