Nourishment

I’ve been slowly recovering

And calmly re-discovering

Joyful nourishment for my soul

And now, I do care about myself

Enough, that I’ll have to build more room

To accommodate my regenerating life

The actual skill

Is having the will

From a little seed sown

Big things are grown

All creations are a masterpiece

Rejuvenating our ancient existence

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Yes Beckie, I’ve had to be positive. My niece Kerri’s inspirational words are always an important reminder to keep fighting on, “Don’t let the world bring you down”……

    1. Yes, and feel very much at home with the group, and I’ve made very welcome, l look forward to our monthly get togethers at the library, which is a glorious venue for the poetry groups meetings. 😁😊📚

    1. I’m so pleased you like my little piece here Carolyn. it’s was actually written as two separate/different poems, But I decided to present as one poem, and they seemed to jell together ok… ((Hugs))
