G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Such words! I think it is too easily forgotten how long it takes to grow such an impressive tree.

The photo is of an ancient oak from a little town called Pontfadog, in the north of Wales, said to be the oldest tree in England, 1,200 years old, unfortunately it blown over in storm in 2013… now you have inspired me to re-post my poem ‘Myfwany And Glenys’, about the town Pontfadog… you might remember it Colleen ….xx

Trees are so important…and need water, sun, etc.
Children are so so so important…and need kind-care, respect, compassion, good role models, etc.
