I was at my local library yesterday, and it occurred to me, that I’ve been visiting the same quaint little library for over fifty five years…. !! And from those thoughts and many memories, I wrote this Haiku.
Haiku: My Word Vault
All my soulful words
Lay within your open vaults
Where my dreams began

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Aw! This is so wonderful and lovely, Ivor! I’m so glad you had such a place for refuge, “escape”, a muse, and so much more, for so many years! 🙂
Now I am thinking about the libraries I’ve been so fortunate to live near…from little girl on up to today! 🙂 When I visit any city, I try to visit their library and then an art gallery. I feel so at home in both buildings. 🙂
HUGS!!! 🙂
PS… I listened to the song twice! Love it! 🙂

Haha, a pure coincidence Sue, and I’ve actually just written a reply to your word prompt tonight. I’ll post it sometime tomorrow, as I don’t like posting 2 poems on the same day…… Cheers Sue.. It’s 9.05 pm here, and I’ll be going to bed sometime soon…. xx

I will check on it tomorrow.
Even though Gerry and I have equal admin rights on Weekly Prompts. WordPress only notify me for pingbacks on the posts that I have written and the same for Gerry. And as I do most of the replies I have to constantly check on his posts to make sure we’ve not missed one! Thank you Ivor 🙂 night night sleep well

They might even frame it with a picture of yourself and the library, now wouldn’t that be fitting?
