A Smooth Lake Of Tears

After months of anxieties and tears

Today was softened, on a smooth lake of old fears

The specialist report was stable

Grey clouds settled under his table

Obvious scars inside the head

Were idle seeds in the garden shed

Life is allowed to continue, cautiously

Back to a normal daily odyssey

Writing about cosmology and ideology

As battology turns a page on neurology

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. I’m very much still being monitored by my Doctor, but the main thing is , I”m basically going ok, considering all my setbacks…. Yeah… Although it’s a bit cool in the water yet, I can drive myself down to the beach tomorrow, it’s going to be 22’C…. and walk along the sand and smell the sea air…. and It’s been 18 months since I’ve walked on the beach…… wow…… I don’t how big my smiles going to be !!!! xxx
