Three years ago

On that day

I cried

I cannot forget

The death of a ladies man

When he found his, sisters of mercy

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS.   5. This brings tears. A wonderful tribute to honor an amazing singer and writer! He is a fav of mine, too.
    I love how you used some of his song titles in your poem! Creative!
    (I tried that once, years ago, in a tribute to another singer. It was fun.)
    Thank you for sharing the concert!
    We remember Mr. Cohen on the anniversary of his death! We celebrate his life! We celebrate his making this world an easier, better place. He has kept me company so many many many days and nights. I’m so thankful he has impacted my life and has left so much of himself here with us…he lives on forever. 🙂

    1. I’ve been out all day, being a good host, showing a lovely lady from Kuala Lumpur, the sights of the beaches around the Bellarine Peninsula..
      Thank you for glorious comments Carolyn, and yes this amazing man, has been an important person in my life for last 50 years, and his indelible marks upon my character will live on within me continuously……xxxx ((many hugs))

  7. I’m with you Ivor! I miss Leonard but I’m very excited about the new music that is finding its way out even after he’s moved on. I think ‘Happens To A Heart’ (which you introduced me to) is one of the best things he’s written in years. Thank you for sharing. T.
