G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Oh so happy when I saw the large puddles I could just put my gum boots on and go puddle jumping. As you wrote it was so atmospheric I could smell the freshness the change being brought cleansing rain most prayed for rain has finally arrived. Does this mean we have learned the lesson as this will hopefully hit everyone deep within.
I love the rain but especially that it is falling on Australia. I’ve been praying for torrential rain to fall there since I read about the fires. You know, when I was a teenager I read a short story about how God decided to show up and talk to people on the radio. People were skeptical so he did miracles every day for a week. He ended with the big one on the 7th day — sinking Australia under the ocean for one minute. He said they are a hearty lot and could certainly take it. I have been thinking about that story often recently. It’s very old, 40’s maybe before TV was around and radio was big. Not sure who wrote it. I love your poem. This is beautiful, Ivor. ♥.
Thank you Brooke, yes I love my music…… of any genre…….I was reading through your “About The Author” on your site, and I very interested, that you mentioned ‘Warren Ellis’… ahh…but a different Warren Ellis, to the musician that I know(The violinist in Nick Cave’s backing band, ‘The Bad Seeds)… I’ll attach a video…. Anyhow, I’d like to thank you, for following my blog/website, I appreciate you support, I hope you enjoy reading my humble writings, and I’m from, Geelong, Australia… Cheers. Ivor

I’m not sure yet how far the rains reached, but certainly they will be of some welcomed relief for the affected areas… xx

You bet Ivor! Yep, there are two Warren Ellis-s and they get confused sometimes, but for the record I dig them both!
