G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

how beautiful is this Ivor, to recognise that smile that is etched upon our hearts forever, that we don;t just see it but feel it. A gem of a poem for my Saturday morning reading. thank you
yup i do and have been busy posting and catching up with reading others blogs. I am good Ivor, thank you for the care and concern. It is a super sunny morning and I have the day to potter around the house and garden. hope you are doing well too my dear friend.
You know this made me cry.
Carole is never social-distancing from you, Ivor…she is always there in your heart, on your mind, by your side, cheering you on! π
When all of this social distancing has passed, everyone will be face to face again, one day, in person…
And after passing on we will be face to face again in the hereafter. π
(((HUGS))) π
Oh Carolyn… It was one Ivor’s nice dreams, triggered by this social distancing thing… and it’s ok to cry, I cried while writing the words…. when I do one these, the words flow out of my pen, as if I’m not in control…. Oh, that redhead gets every time…..ππ ((Hugs))
such a loving tribute, I feel your joy, your poem, the song and such a stunning shot … love the colour and texture in this one Ivor … keep smiling, she lives on in your heart β€

Stay safe and keep writing.

Ivor, this is incredible. From the first two lines you had me, and I was looking. Knowing I can’t see her like you do.
