Black Spirits: A Haiku

Nature’s shadowed eyes

Black storm spirits of the sky

May we all survive

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. We will get through this. Our world has changed a lot, but I think the most marked change is how we view it and each other now. I mean, the silence alone is astonishing, and the clear air. I think we want more of this, without the lockdown, thank you very much. This slower pace, if we could find a way to choose it from a strong place after this is over, would heal our world. I think it would keep us connected too. Sending hugs {{{{{Ivor}}}}} ! So glad these virtual ones are still permitted. ♥.
