But “what is it”, about this ‘virus’, that has so many unanswered questions ?

 

Full Circle 

 

Autumn leaves are falling

But there you are, stoically flowering

Despite a dry season of suffering

You’re proudly alive and thriving

 

What is it?

Is it a notion? To defy nature’s calling

What is it?

Is it a potion? To boost surviving

 

Are you the antidote?

For healing the dying

Have you an answer?

To resurrecting the living

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  6. Wonderful poem…important questions!
    I think nature is always trying to teach us and yet most human-beans don’t pay attention…probably thinking they are greater and more important. ‘Tis sad that they are this way.

    PS…I love how the Autumn leaves die and fall and then are part of the new growth in the Spring. 🙂

    1. Yes Carolyn, everything in nature has a purpose, and go about they in an organised and orderly way……I think human’s have lost their position and meaning of life, and forgotten about the story of the birds and the bees……xxxx

    1. I agree Kate…. although Trump has got it all under control !!!! He’s more worried about the economy than the people….. he wants them to go back to work ???

      1. I tend to think he wants to kill more off … why else gather in large angry crowds!
        He’s never done much for them so maybe he’s over it and would prefer more pop off … wouldn’t put it past him. But then they are the idiots who listen to him, so guess they will get what they deserve …

      2. Karma has a way hitting back.. 😊I’m out doing my afternoon walk 🚶 I’ve not missed one for 3 weeks. Sometimes when I’m not feeling good, I’ll shorten my walk. 😊🌏

    1. Yes we don’t know the answers, but my poem’s about us, not to stop thinking, and to keep having a say, despite the suffering, maybe we can be proud of who we are, and help humanity thrive.. towards better times….. 😏🙄
