G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

SIGHS…smiles…Welcome, Spring!!! π π
Wonderful poem, Ivor! π When Spring sprungs outdoors….we must remember to let it into our hearts and minds. π
Love Imagine Dragons! π
HUGS!!! π
PS…Tell me about the photo. Please. π
Oh that photo….was one of my highlights when I staying in Philadelphia last year, from when I went to the “Rodin” museum… ..When I was a teenager and doing an art course my teacher introduced me to an amazing sculptor called “Rodin”, and his magnificent artwork has been with me ever since… and to visit the museum of his works was a dream come true..
My photo here, is of one Rodin’s pieces called ‘The Cathedral’, which the French had rename.
… but I prefer it’s former name, by Rodin, ‘The Arch of Alliance’… which suits my poem….
Thank you for asking Carolyn…. and I took so many photos that day…. my cousin Maureen was astounded at how much I enjoyed the museum….. and at dinner that night, I told her about my lifetime fascination with Rodin’s works…. she smiled broadly, and began to understand the “Thinker” inside her cousin ‘Ivor’……
Cheers xx ((Hugs))
How wonderful, Ivor! The sculpture drew me in and I wanted to learn more about it! π I’ve heard of Rodin…and I really enjoy hearing about your connection to him! π
here’s to spring and fresh beginnings
