Boldly imagination’s written on the wall

A loud creative sign for us all



Imagination looks beyond the distant horizon

To where a blue sky unites the oceans

Imagination looks above the gathering dark clouds

To where a golden sun dispels all doubts



Imagination looks inside the essence of nature

To where a nurtured animal instinct matures

Imagination looks outside the boundaries of mankind

To where a human mind can thrive nonaligned

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    We gotta’ keep our imaginations alive and well and active! 🙂

    Our imaginations can take us anywhere, to do anything, anytime!
    And when we share with others… our thoughts, feelings, ideas, creative visions….and they share back…we can find solutions. 🙂

    1. I saw the sign on my afternoon walk…. and I was writing the poem in my head while I was walking home….. and my imagination took over for there.
      … not good news tonight… our state government has just handed down another ‘3’ weeks of lockdown… so that means we’ve still got ‘4’ more weeks to go in lockdown…. cabin fever is melting-down my keyboard… 😀😎🙄😮

      2. I’m safe and well,… but I’m so tired…. even though I’m sleeping well
        I’m wondering how you can run out of energy, by sitting at home doing nothing 🤔
        I’d be no good at being a “baddie”, and being locked up in prison, just as well I’m a “goodie” 😂😊🌎😏
