G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

The inspirations are always inside of you, you just need to, dig, dig, dig, deeper, deeper, deeper still, until something sparked that fire, and then, just, let everything, pour out on paper.
Thank you Kate… yes I’m still reminiscing… Today is 20 years since I had my first stroke… and they were unbelievably tough times for myself and Carole….
Your words, and the emotion in them, help me to soar above the troubles! Thank you so much, Ivor! π
Because of your photos, poems, and song choices I always leave your blogpost feeling better and lifted up! π Floating in a big, beautiful balloon in my mind right now! π
Oh, always love me some Mr. LaMontagne!!!
HUGS!!! π
Thank you dear Carolyn…. I’ve lots of mixed emotions this week… it’s now 20 years since I suffered my first stroke….. a terrible time for us…. our love for each other, was then being stretched beyond the limits of what was humanly possible to withstand… Carole’s courage under her circumstances was truly incredible……. . I’ve been working today… It’s time for dinner, and I’m so tired…. xx

Ivor – this is lovely! Youβve really painted a calming picture here – soothing potion lotion and a gondola ride. Even if itβs floating away, we could just relax and enjoy the ride. I hear your resilience and positive attitude in your words here. You are a survivor!
Lovely poem Ivor.

Aw. I can imagine you are feeling so many emotions, and are blanketed in memories.
I hope you can get some rest after dinner.
