G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Great work! I felt like I was sinking while reading it!
Beautiful images and so heart-touching, Ivor.
Keep standing. Keep rekindling the fire. Let your precious memories and Carole’s love keep propelling you forward. 🙂

Thanks Carolyn.. I really can’t explain my emotions that are flowing inside me these last few weeks…. I’m pleased that my readers are able to connect with my thoughts and feelings….

Beautifully captured life of today. We falsely think we are stood on solid ground to rebuild our hopes or dreams only to find we are being sucked down into the mire of quicksand swallowing us whole.
I was just going through your poetry books this morning Ivor. You have lots of fire and inspiration. Your Tullawalla poems are my favourites. You convey emotions so beautifully and I am always refreshed after reading your delightful words.
Yeah… just staying positive, and my muse is always a wonderful influence upon my attitude.. Her courage and graciousness under such trying circumstances is always inspirational for me. 😊💙🌏
Yes we have Sue !! … but we’ve managed to find solid ground again….
I’m just home from afternoon outing, a walk, coffee & cake, and a bit of shopping. So I’ll visit my reader to have a look at your Saturday Prompt…
Yes we have, we’re back to solid ground, though I still find potholes to fall in.
It felt like groundhog day this week when I spectacularly messed up my weekend challenges, so we’ve gone with one of Gerry’s planned challenges instead. Hopefully I will be back on solid ground by next week.
Great work! I felt like I was sinking while reading it!
