G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Right on, Ivor! And your world-balloon photo, great haiku, and encouraging song bring big smiles!!! 🙂
Re: the song/vid…We must always shoot for the moon, and even if we don’t make it there we will be closer than if we didn’t try! And we must always carry on! 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂

      2. There is no rush Kate, I’m way ahead of schedule, and the publishers are flat out ’til Christmas, and they won’t be editing my manuscript until January. I’ll send It later in the week Kate… 😀

    1. The haiku was from a reply I wrote to a ‘Chatter Blogs’ (Colleen Brown) post
“Each day I live by chance
My every breath is a dance
Life is love at first glance”
and it didn’t take much to change the wording to a 5,7,5 format… the rhyme was there and so I left it that way…
