G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Yes, the song is fantastic, and matched my little poem so well… We have a train up in mountains, it’s a scenic trip and the little engine is called “Puffin’ Billy”
Thank you for appreciating this thought provoking piece.
May peace and unity continue to flourish and regrow
Very well written Ivor. This morning I’m listening to Star Wars composed by John Williams (the latest three movies – 7, 8, and 9 in the series). I own all nine soundtracks and love to listen to them. Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend! π
Yes it’s a great song Dwight, with astrong message… Again one of my short poems… sometimes I think I should expand on my theme, but like your paintings, “leave well enough alone” π
Very well evoked β€π

Ivor, I learned what a “Puffin’ Billy” is! That will be my vocabulary word for today. π
Each verse of this beautifully-written poem has wonderful imagery. The poem has a whimsical quality that I like very much. β€ Take care, Ivor!

Yeah, Puffin’ Billy, probably more of a British word than Australian… I’m glad my bad vocabulary is useful. ππ

A wonderful trio…photo, poem, song, Ivor! π
The images you created in your poem are wonderful!
Love those times and spaces where our minds and hearts can be at peace… π …and often it involves listening to music. π
Puffin’ Billy… a train, right?!
I, also, remember a song called Puffin’ (or Puffing ) Billy.
(((HUGS))) π

The orchestra piece Puffin Billy is really well done. I can hear the train tooting all the way through. Suits so well with your poem.
