G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thatβs wonderful and not here yet, but hopefully before too much longer
I read somewhere just last week that the earths atmosphere has not been so clean since it was first tested way back. This I guess is due to the lock-downs across the world, working industries and vehicles have been scarce.
A great poem expressing good news! β€ We rejoice with you! π We hope you will soon rejoice with the rest of us! Yes, it is time to smile, and the music was a wonderful addition to this post! The poem is beautifully and, seemingly effortlessly, rhymed. The entire post is superb!
Ivor, you look so relaxed and cheery in your photo! Merry Christmas, and I know it will be with the planned family reunion! β€
Although I have to work over the next few days I’m relaxed Cheryl and looking forward to Christmas with family and friends, and I so hope the situation over there starts to improve… xx
Yes! Wonderfully expressed! Cheers to you, Ivor!
Know What?!?! Your amazing poems, your great taste in music, your beautiful photos…your kindnesses in your comments on my post…all of these helped me have joy in what has been a difficult year. Thank you for being here! I so appreciate you! π
(((HUGS))) π
Oh Sue, thank you for your kindness, always my pleasure, and as you know, writing is good, and this blogging world has indeed been good for all of us… Haha, feeling worn out, and feeling my age, after long hot day working as plumber??
.. It got to 35’C here in Geelong today…. but I managed to get most of the hard part done, so finishing off should be easier…
The client did give me a nice bottle of wine to have tonight π·π.. It’s from Frankland River, Western Australia, 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon.. I’m having a late dinner, and then I’ll try the wine… ππ.. while listening to my music, maybe those “Heartless Bastards”.. π€πΌ
