G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Gorgeous sun spotlighting and warming the earth photo!!! π
Wonderful dual haiku, Ivor…we will seek the good and right in the new year and learn from the wrong.
Too many bells tolled this past year (as in deaths), so we cling to hope and life for the new year. There are answers and we will seek to be a part of them…a part of the solutions…not the problems. π
As for the song…I’ve not heard it before… makes me think about tomorrow and if we awake we will be grateful once again for all that we are blessed with! π (I had tomorrow on the brain today, too.)
(((HUGS))) π
Silverchair, another great Aussie band… the poem is one I wrote for 2020, new year, while we were in the middle of our horrendous bushfires… but now we are in the middle of our horrific pandemic, and words rolled out again…. ((Hugs))
The fountain is beautiful! Love your double haiku. β€ "Could be right…could be wrong." "Is there an answer?" I think there a multitude of questions for which we will have to find both individual and collective answers.
2021 promises to be a wild ride! But there are many promising signs. Look at Australia and New Zeeland…Covid-free while much of the world is heading to the highest peaks of the Pandemic! π π π
Trump is fading away, but I suspect he will linger around the edges to bedevil us for quite some time. There is a lot of rebuilding to do in so many different spheres! Welcome2021!

I think it will get better but it will take a while! I am trying to be better in myself in the meantime. It seems like things are already a lot better where you are which is great news π
Thank you Eugenia, and may your 2021 be a good one. My new year is starting well, I am scheduled to present my manuscript to my editors on Jan 2nd π
